Who We Are
In his second letter to the Christians in Corinth, Paul wrote in chapter 5 verses 18-19,
We are welders, salesmen, housewives, teachers, deputies, trainers, students, moms, dads, kids, grandparents, musicians, artists, retired folks, who have exchanged our lives to have God’s life. God’s mission for us in our communities of Forest Grove and Cornelius is to spread this exchange, this reconciliation with God. This means that the church is more than Sundays, more than the building in which we meet, more than the guy up front teaching.
We are missionaries to our families, our neighbors, our co-workers. We desire to be mirrors of Jesus, reflecting His love, His grace, His peace, His passion, His power, and His life. Find out more about who are are and what we believe God has called us to be by following the links to the left.
In his second letter to the Christians in Corinth, Paul wrote in chapter 5 verses 18-19,
When you reconcile something there is an exchange involved. There is a give and a take. God exchanged His Son’s perfect life for ours. We exchanged our old, nasty, broken down lives for His. That’s part of what it means to be a Christian.“Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.”
